Britain’s Got Talent Job

JS80432337The band was honoured to be hired by ITV’s – Britain’s Got Talent team last week, to help with their launch of a new series. The auditions for the show premiered in Liverpool’s Empire theatre on Friday 15th January. Allerton Brass was there with our guest trombonist David Walliams, to greet Simon Cowell arriving on the red carpet! Dressed in Sgt. Pepper outfits and Union Jack waistcoats, we played some old Beatles numbers to the big stars and the crowds. The televised launch of the show is not due out for a few months; we’ll keep you posted so you don’t miss our appearance on the show.12524062_10153915000017059_3619728256967773505_n

Christmas Crackers! Concert

_02A5905We had a fabulous concert at The Capstone Theatre on the 12th December with our special guest singers Bishop Eton Choir, Kelsey Walsh and our very own Francesca.

It was a real atmospheric Christmas feeling with a fabulous audience which made it even more special. The choir were to their usual high standard with amazing song pieces. The Band and Choir joint pieces went down a treat with so much excitement with the specially arranged pieces from Frozen featuring the Band, Choir, Kelsey and Francesca. The evening ended with a wonderful finale with Kelsey Walsh and the Band with the audience and choir participation. To cap it all a wonderful standing ovation. What more can we ask.

Thank you one and all to the performers and amazing audience. For those of you who couldn’t make it, you missed out!!! But fear not as we have uploaded recordings from the night.

Be sure also to check out some of the hilarious pictures…

Remembrance 2015

Rachel Wharton & Hannah Chapman

We completed our series of concerts at Heath Hall this month with ‘A Concert of Remembrance’. The performance was exceptionally well received by the audience, and the band was thoroughly honoured to take part in this special event. As usual, we have some photographs posted on our Facebook page. Our special thanks go Ian & Jan at Heath Hall, and also to Terry Murray for his photography services.

Birthday Bash

The band celebrated its 2nd Birthday recently, by indulging in a night of bowling and curry. We had a great turnout of members, friends and family; discovering new talents on the bowling lane! We’ve posted some pictures on our Facebook page. After two years, the band has made enormous progress gaining dedicated players and producing some outstanding performances. We are ever so grateful to our members and everyone who supports the band. With the prospect of entering competitions next year, we are hopeful of continued success and an even stronger domination of brass banding in the area .allin
